About Dr. Wiesen

Dr. Mark Wiesen graduated magna cum laude with his doctor of dental surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then participated in a general dentistry residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis before returning to the State University of New York at Stony Brook to receive his advanced specialty training in periodontics. Dr. Wiesen has been active with local, state, and national dental societies, serving on many professional boards and in multiple distinguished positions.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Wiesen teaches periodontics and provides direct periodontal care at the Veterans Administration Health Care Centers in Palo Alto. He is a clinical assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wiesen has been in private practice for over two decades honing his skills at minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of periodontitis and gingival recession. He enjoys listening to a patient’s concerns and goals and then helping them achieve the health, function, and esthetics desired by every individual.
